Article in Spartanburg paper May 31, 1921 indicates that Arthur died as a result of drowning while trying to retrieve a duck he had shot, but did not kill. A friend tried to help, but could not.

Arthur is buried beside his mother Mary Louisa Thompson-Lynch. He has no marker.

I plan to arrange for one to be placed for him at some point.
